DV T60 Review

The Australian light commercial vehicle segment in Australia has been burgeoning in the last 10 years. Customers are spoilt for choice in the commercial vehicle market now more than ever. The traditional Aussie ute is has also become more than just a work hack. It now also serves as a family car, a recreational vehicle or simply a vehicle that’s a show pony for its owners. Enter the LDV T60 Ute.

One thing that has also occurred is as features and quality have increased, so have the prices. Some new utes can be bought for as much as $80k plus! While the features may be high it begs the question where do we draw the line?

LDV has long been a supplier of vans in Australia and around the world (under the Maxus banner). In 2017 this changed in Australia when LDV Australia began supplying the new LDV T60 Ute.

This was the game changer the Australian ute market needed. The LDV T60 Ute offers class leading features for a great value price.

The all-new 2020 T60 Limited Edition Trailrider has arrived at LDV Parramatta in Sydney. As a result, it will surely turn heads with its features that are designed to stand out.

From the amazing looking 12 spoke 19-inch black alloy wheels, plus the black nudge bar, black sports bar, and black side steps.

It also includes a lockable Mountain Top roller tonneau for the Trailrider’s load tray. To add to the styling upgrade, it has a black front grille and decals for the sides, rear and bonnet, all designed specifically for the LDV T60 Trailrider.

The Trailrider can be had with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission. As with all T60 Utes, the Trailrider has the reassurance of a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

Pricing is at a $4000 premium over the regular T60 Luxe models, with the additional accessories more than compensates for this.

Standard Features

The interior Infotainment systems as per the Luxe model include a 10-inch touch screen display with a smartphone connection by Bluetooth, Apple Car Play, or Android Auto. Other features include push-button start, roof rails, and adaptive LED headlights.

If you have been looking for a ute with a big tub, or mega tub as we call it? it has arrived!

The T60 Mega Tub fills the gap between the big RAM sized ute and a T60. It does not skimp on features either. The mega tub combines all the tech and prestige you’ll find in a regular T60 Luxe. But with the longest tubs in its class. If you are a tradesperson, this will be music to your ears! Not only is the tub big enough for more tools, it enables you to use the T60 for that weekend getaway. With that trail bike, jetski whatever your passion or hobby.
